History of In Focus

In Focus of Cleveland, Inc. was founded in August 2000, by Russell and Darlene White, and the late Bill Miles. Our Agency received its license from the state of Ohio in June 2001. The first resident was placed at the Nottingham House on August 8, 2001. He remained with the agency for one year and eleven months and then transitioned into an independent living program.

Since opening its doors, In Focus has accepted over 100 young men, with the average stay being 9 months. After leaving In Focus, many residents have been adopted or have reunited with their families. Others have graduated from local high schools, the Cleveland Job Corps and other alternative educational programs while many have gone off to pursue collegiate degrees or to serve in the armed forces.
